Hi All,
Tables that stop at the right margin in XP, run past the margin in Wine. See picture.
Many thanks, -T

--- Comment #2 from Rein Klazes wijn@online.nl 2009-04-28 11:21:43 --- Loaded the file, I got the same as your screen shot.
Now I cannot compare this with what happens on Windows, so what is wrong is not that obvious to me. Is it the table that extend too far, is it the content of a cell that is supposed to break?
Other questions:
1) would loading the same file in windows give another result? 2) in creating the file, the bug must already have been triggered. Is it hard to reproduce starting with a new document?

The right extent of the tables pokes past the right margin on the page. The attachment show proper behavior in XP

Yes, see the latest attachment

This table error happens whenever you create the document in XP, then use it in Wine

--- Comment #4 from Todd Chester ToddAndMargo@verizon.net 2009-04-28 13:49:30 --- Extra info: tables created as left justified in Word Pro using Wine are well behaved. Just those ones created in XP that run off the right edge.
I do go back and forth between Xp and Wine a lot, so this is an issue.

--- Comment #5 from Rein Klazes wijn@online.nl 2009-04-29 01:13:10 --- I tried your test document on a real XP machine. I do not see any difference between wine and XP behaviour.
Please explain exactly what is wrong on wine and does not happen on XP.
I don't know if versions are an issue: I am using SmartPro millenium edition. Wordpro is Release 9.

The right side of the table runs off the right margin. In the picture I posted: http://bugs.winehq.org/attachment.cgi?id=20743, you will see that I have made two red circles.
The lower circle is circling the right page margin. It is shown as thin gray vertical line.
The upper circle show where the table pokes about 10 centimeters past the right margin. The table should stop exactly at the right margin.
The other picture I posted shows how it (correctly) looks in XP: http://bugs.winehq.org/attachment.cgi?id=20790

--- Comment #7 from Rein Klazes wijn@online.nl 2009-05-02 02:09:41 --- On Windows XP I see exactly the same picture. Table extending a bit beyond the right margin.
That is why I thought the bug happened when you created the table.
Another thing might be paper size, File->DocumentProperties->PrintSetup is here A4. Changing to letter gives table aligning on the right marging perfectly, both on windows and wine.
Perhaps you can look at the paper size under wine.

Hi Rein,
You figured it out. On the test document I sent you, the paper size is "Letter" not "A4". In XP File->DocumentProperties->PrintSetup states that it is "Letter", in Wine, it states that it is "A4". XP states that it is letter.
On this or a new document, if you change File->DocumentProperties->PrintSetup back to Letter, it does not stick. If you go into Page->PageProperties->SizeAndfMargin'sTab and set it to Letter, it should match on File->DocumentProperties->PrintSetup, but it does not. It does in XP.
So the errors are
1) File->DocumentProperties->PrintSetup does not stick when you close and reopen a document
2) File->DocumentProperties->PrintSetup does not match Page->PageProperties->SizeAndfMargin'sTab when you close and reopen a document

Hi Austin,
I am running 1.1.33. There is no symptom change. Is there any chance of getting this looked at in 1.1.34?

Letter size pages stay in letter size and do not have to be changed back from A4.
What is cc580?

Sorry, there's a lot of info on this report and I'm a bit confused. Does this fix your problem?
What is cc580?
It's comctl32. That's the exe name on microsoft's website. Typing cc580 is slightly quicker.

Yes it does.
But, I do not know if the bug should stay open, as I do not know if this is the fix or does Wine need to be fixed so one does not have to use Winetricks to get their stuff to work. That would have to be your call.
Thank you for the fix! It was very annoying to constantly have to change my paper back to A4.

No, there's definitely still a bug in wine...but that narrows it down. Nikolay, would you mind taking a look?

Hi, Austin.
Print dialog uses user32 combo so the problem could be in propertysheets or something else from Word Pro setup window.
Is there anything related in terminal output?
