Bug ID: 42310 Summary: Installation of Office 2013 fails while installation Product: Wine Version: 2.0-rc6 Hardware: x86-64 OS: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: -unknown Assignee: wine-bugs@winehq.org Reporter: Corvan@gmx.de Distribution: ---
Hey,
I got: - Kubuntu 16.10 - SW_DVD5_Office_Professional_Plus_2013w_SP1_32-BIT_X64_German_MLF_X19-35907.iso (which I got officiallyfrom my company, the KIT)
I used used these HowTos: - http://askubuntu.com/questions/252372/installation-problem-ms-office-2013-us... (look at the last comment) - https://www.liberiangeek.net/2012/06/how-to-install-microsoft-office-suite-2... (which is referred to by the last comment of the first link)
These brought me the farthest, but the installation still fails just with the message that something had been going wrong during the installation. The Console output showed me that it was a 1603 Error which I googled but didn't get answers helping me.
I tried this several times with clean wine prefixes, everytime the same place and every time the same output.

--- Comment #3 from Nikolay Sivov bunglehead@gmail.com --- Make sure that:
- you're testing with clean prefix; - workaround for bug 38648 is applied; - you're running from setup.exe directory.

--- Comment #6 from Hans Leidekker hans@meelstraat.net --- You also need to install ntlm_auth:
err:winediag:SECUR32_initNTLMSP ntlm_auth was not found or is outdated. Make sure that ntlm_auth >= 3.0.25 is in your path. Usually, you can find it in the winbind package of your distribution.

--- Comment #7 from Corvan Corvan@gmx.de --- That worked, thank you very much
Now I can install it and start the programs, but I have Problems with the shader now, I will have to dig into that should be unrelated to my initial Problem, so mark this bug fixed.

--- Comment #8 from Rosanne DiMesio dimesio@earthlink.net --- Nothing was fixed in Wine; you were missing a dependency.
