If you start the game in a clean wineprefix (without any native dlls) you can
observe that the mouse pointer is always recentered in the middle of the
screen. That should be bug #8354.

The problem arises if you work around that bug either by
1) setting MouseWarpOverride to 'disable'
or 
2) using native dinput/dinput8 dlls

In either case the mouse pointer is moving fine but mouse clicks don't register
in the game, making it impossible to get past the main menu.

Terminal output is very sparse, showing only:
fixme:win:EnumDisplayDevicesW ((null),0,0x32f8e4,0x00000000), stub!
fixme:d3d:wined3d_swapchain_set_gamma_ramp Ignoring flags 0x1.
fixme:dinput:SysMouseWImpl_Acquire Clipping cursor to (0,0)-(1024,768)

The same problem with Wine-1.0.1, 1.2.3 etc.
