With upgrading to wine to 0.9.42 I cannot play Farcry with sound.
The Version I used before was the last Debian testing version (Upgrade was this
week I think)

You need to upgrade to the latest version of wine and try it and also try a
clean wine prefix.

Does not happen on wine-0.9.44-195-g282696b in second Farcry demo with latest
Wine from the Git... so I could need more info like does happen on Demo and how
to reproduce. If You do not provide test with latest Wine and ways to reproduce
and you do not do regression testing then I mark this bug as INVALID.

Agreed. Sound has changed a lot over the last several versions. And yes, at
some point it was broken.
