Run the game. If the game asks for a save folder, select one. The game will then crash with a pagefault before reaching the title screen. Running the game again will also result in a crash every time.

The trial seems to crash in the same way as the full game. Note that everything, including the zip file itself, is in Japanese locale. You might need to use LC_ALL=ja_JP.UTF-8
