Summary: DVD Profiler 3.5.1 fails to run on Ubuntu Lucid 64bit Product: Wine Version: 1.1.38 Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: -unknown AssignedTo: wine-bugs@winehq.org ReportedBy: klaus.doblmann@gmail.com
Created an attachment (id=26234) --> (http://bugs.winehq.org/attachment.cgi?id=26234) Console output when running DVDprofiler
I have preciously run DVD Profiler perfectly on 32bit versions. A few weeks ago I switched to the development version of Ubuntu 10.04 and also switched to 64bit. Since then DVDProfiler refuses to load at all due to an access violation. See attached console-output for details.

--- Comment #2 from Vitaliy Margolen vitaliy@kievinfo.com 2010-02-12 20:05:42 --- If it's using driver and the actual errors you pasted comes from this program's installed driver and not something else then it won't work any time soon on Wine if ever.

--- Comment #3 from Stuart Middleton Stuart@houseofanime.org 2010-02-13 03:42:06 --- I'll add that this appears specific to this distribution (Ubuntu 10.04) as the same Wine version works (in a fashion) for DVD Profiler on OpenSuse 11.2 64bit.

--- Comment #4 from Klaus Doblmann klaus.doblmann@gmail.com 2010-02-13 05:56:54 --- Thanks for your input - especially to Stuart for confirming this is most likely a distro-specific bug. I reported it on launchpad: https://bugs.launchpad.net/wine/+bug/521348

--- Comment #5 from Klaus Doblmann klaus.doblmann@gmail.com 2010-02-14 02:56:48 --- Setting this to invalid. The culprit was that I used the same /home with the same config-files when switching from karmic 32bit to lucid 64bit. Most applications survived it, but DVDprofiler needed a complete reset of wine's config files...
