--- Comment #1 from Timo-Heikki Mäkelä imaxfun@gmail.com 2008-03-07 18:09:54 --- Could you run it through debugger?
winedbg foo.exe

--- Comment #2 from joaopa jeremielapuree@yahoo.fr 2008-03-07 19:53:30 --- First try the following tip:
cd in your D: folder, then wine setup.exe

--- Comment #3 from Jani-Matti Hätinen jani-matti.hatinen@iki.fi 2008-03-08 03:14:35 --- Output from winedbg is identical to the one in the attachment. I get the errors and then the installshield process terminates itself.
If I cd into the correct folder, the result is also the same. Also, even if that did work, it wouldn't help at all, since it's a multi-CD install and cd:ing into the folder will lock the drive.

--- Comment #4 from Louis Lenders xerox_xerox2000@yahoo.co.uk 2008-03-08 03:23:07 --- I think this is a duplicate of http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=922
Somehow the installshield is broken or so, in the bug above there's more info about it

--- Comment #5 from Louis Lenders xerox_xerox2000@yahoo.co.uk 2008-03-08 03:26:05 --- Here's relevant part of bug 922 i guess:
This is a well documented bug in InstallShield: http://consumer.installshield.com/kb.asp?id=Q110641
Following the instructions here (for version 6) I removed the InstallShield files and ran IkernelUpdate.exe http://consumer.installshield.com/kb.asp?id=Q108322 http://support.installshield.com/kb/files/Q108322/IkernelUpdate.exe
Afterwards, the Harry Potter demo and Sacrifice install without error.
Not every crash is a Wine bug ;-)
I've recorded the size and versions of the InstallShield files for each of these installers and will attach for completeness.

--- Comment #6 from Jani-Matti Hätinen jani-matti.hatinen@iki.fi 2008-03-08 04:38:13 --- I tried the InstallShield update as instructed in the link above, but the update fails with the exact same error message.

--- Comment #7 from Austin English austinenglish@gmail.com 2008-06-09 16:38:21 --- Is this still an issue in current (1.0-rc4) or newer wine?
