When running Halo my system freezes. Worked without problems in wine 0.9.42.

Wine by definition can not do this. Check your video drivers. Retest with older
Wine version if you sure it's Wine.

I have, It worked without problems on wine 0.9.42, and in 0.9.43 it locks up. I
know other people who have the same problem.
