I think you mentioned this is on a radeon 9250 with the open source drivers?

This really looks like driver bug. The game works good on geforce6100 and
nvidia binary drivers.

I have the centered horizontal artifact during the AvP1 alien demo intro
sequence (movie playing).

In System Shock 2 (the demo) I only have vertical lines, see this bug for
screenshots:

Card is an Intel i915 with mesa-7.0.3 drivers.

Updating my drivers solved the remaining issues with visual errors.

I recommend to checkout GIT and try latest mesa drivers to rule out a wine
problem.

no graphical issues here playing the demo using 1.1.6 I have a nvidia quadro

i'd say this one can be CLOSED as it is not an issue with wine but with the

Works fine here in wine-1.3.7-207-gb6a1951, with nvidia/nvidia drivers, and
works for others, sounds like a driver bug.
