--- Comment #1 from Vitaliy Margolen vitaliy@kievinfo.com 2010-02-15 20:03:16 --- What Wine version? What exactly doesn't work? Native DX won't work on Wine (in most part). Do not install it.
What video card and drivers?

Setup log is only: fixme:shell:SHAutoComplete stub fixme:shdocvw:IEParseDisplayNameWithBCW stub: 0x0 L"http://www.3d-mesh-blacksmith.tlk-games.com/index_en.html" 0x153c80 0xe4e53c

Noticed another issue: after cd'ing to program directory, i strangely couldn't use bash completion for exe's name, that has a space in it. This is weird as i can use bash completion on path with spaces and on exe program to load with wine... Does already exist a bug report for this?

--- Comment #3 from Vitaliy Margolen vitaliy@kievinfo.com 2010-02-16 09:15:01 --- Have you removed your wineprefix (rm -rf ~/.wine) before trying again? DO NOT install any native components unless explicitly told to here.
What video card and drivers?

That's provided by the bash-completion package, not wine.

Already said it was a clean prefix.
What video card and drivers?
NVIDIA G105M, official binary NVIDIA 190.53. Should note that i usually don't have problems with these drivers.
That's provided by the bash-completion package, not wine.
Indeed. As i have it installed, it usually works like said, but for this exe that has a space in the name it didn't and i had to write it manually.

Is it still an issue in current git? (1.3.1) The download link is dead.
New download link : http://courson.morrison.free.fr/deaddeer/dead_deer_setup.exe
The program needs vcrun2008 to run: fixme:actctx:parse_depend_manifests Could not find dependent assembly L"Microsoft.VC90.CRT" (9.0.21022.8) err:module:attach_process_dlls "MSVCR90.dll" failed to initialize, aborting
Afterwards, the program fails and the output is similar to what has been reported already.

--- Comment #14 from winetest@luukku.com --- There seems to be several versions of the exe.
fixme:d3dcompiler:compile_shader Compilation target "fx_2_0" not yet supported Dead deer crashes and gives that fixme line.
10 version crashes bit differently.
Suspecting this line.
fixme:d3dx:D3DX10CreateEffectFromMemory data 0x13c36d18, datasize 1405, filename (null), defines (nil), include (nil), profile "fx_4_0", hlslflags 0x404, fxflags 0, device 0x16acec, effectpool (nil), pump (nil), effect 0xa82a50, errors 0x2ee790, hresult (nil)
version 11 crash is unknown, the console output is a lot like some dx10/dx11 games which dont work yet.
There seems to be lots of different issues that feels to be dupes of other bugs that are already reported.
