--- Comment #5 from Ken Sharp imwellcushtymelike@gmail.com --- 1. What overrides are you using? 2. Is this a clean WINEPREFIX? 3. Is this a regression? 4. Does it fail every time in a clean WINEPREFIX? 5. Have you set WINEARCH=win32 and tried again?
Two other test results and three other bug reports do not see this error.
http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=35732
--- Comment #6 from Giorgos Kostopoulos giorgosk67@gmail.com --- I tried msxml but it didn't helped.
I don't know if it's a regression, because I didn't tried here earlier. I can do of course the regression tests. I tried it at a fresh formatted system with a new Wine installation. Yes, WINEARCH was set to 32.
I'm attaching the backtrace (with WINEARCH was set to 32).
After trying three times in a row (just to be sure, the last one, CC formatted and started to download Photoshop.
Photoshop couldn't be installed, but since this report is for CC, I suppose this bug can be marked as solved.
PS. I've tried Photoshop under Win7 and is very problematic and unstable. It is not a surprise for me that it has so many problems under Wine. Oh well! :-)

--- Comment #8 from Ken Sharp imwellcushtymelike@gmail.com --- (In reply to Giorgos Kostopoulos from comment #6)
Just try the last couple of versions of Wine as this is a new product.
I'm attaching the backtrace (with WINEARCH was set to 32).
Unhandled exception: unimplemented function KERNEL32.dll.UnregisterApplicationRestart called in 32-bit code (0x7bc54fc0).
That's Bug 34215.
Nothing has been fixed.
PS. I've tried Photoshop under Win7 and is very problematic and unstable. It is not a surprise for me that it has so many problems under Wine.
Does the installer randomly fail in Windows too?

--- Comment #9 from Giorgos Kostopoulos giorgosk67@gmail.com ---
Just try the last couple of versions of Wine as this is a new product.
OK! I'll do it. :-)
I'm attaching the backtrace (with WINEARCH was set to 32).
. . .
Does the installer randomly fail in Windows too?
No. The products themselves (I tried Photoshop and InDesign) are buggy, but CC is installing flawlessly and working as expected.

https://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=35732
--- Comment #24 from Giorgos Kostopoulos giorgosk67@gmail.com --- According to the wiki, the "native" way, is using MS xml and using winetricks is only for providing bug reports: "Wine's implementation of MSXML3 isn't quite complete, so you may need to install MS's MSXML3 and use it natively". http://wiki.winehq.org/NativeMSXML3 Anyway! I'll install xml3 the winetricks way and I'll be back.

Ugh, fair enough, that installation failed. Thanks for trying. If you're feeling brave you can copy over a native msxml3 and try that for a workaround - WINEDLLOVERRIDES=msxml3=n wine AdobeCC.exe (or whatever it is).
Until then, can you provide an msxml3 trace? It will possibly be quite large and need compressing before upload:
WINEDLLOVERRIDES=msxml3=b WINEDEBUG=+msxml wine AdobeCC.exe &> /tmp/cc.log
Replacing AdobeCC.exe with whatever the executable is named, of course.

It fails when starting to initialize itself (around 3%), native msxml3 makes no difference, nor could I see one with WINEDEBUG=msxml.
I did get a crashdialog on one try (but no output to terminal), only dll listed was jscript, though I forgot to save the full output :/.

1. Download WebView2 Runtime (https://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/p/?LinkId=2124703) and install it 2. Add a config for `msedgewebview2.exe` and set the Windows version for it to Windows 7 3. Download and install Creative Cloud:

can confirm. it works on the 2024 creative cloud installer
https://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=35732
--- Comment #40 from F H francisco278herrera@gmail.com --- from what i can tell from winedebug logs and the installer's logs the 2024 creative cloud installer uses html, css, javascript and it still fails at executing some javascript so the installer will grey out the install button since it doesn't extract an install database, i looked at logs run using this command
WINEDEBUG=+relay WEBVIEW2_ADDITIONAL_BROWSER_ARGUMENTS="--no-sandbox" wine "installer_location" &> aeMSI.txt
where i get errors such as
0264:Call ucrtbase.wcscmp(0ef0d170 L"InitErrorAnotherInstallerRunningUpdate",0ea39dc8 L"constructor") ret=701c4192 and other errors related to constructors
