When I attempt to access the webcam via Wine, I consistently receive a message
stating that the camera is already in use. Are there any future plans to
support webcams?

Webcams in general are supported, but bugs exist. What program are you running?
What version of Wine? Can you please attach a log with WINEDEBUG=+quartz?

Webcams cannot be used in VRChat

Symptoms
Any webcam cannot be enabled in VRChat, displaying selfie expression disabled
webcam incompatible or in use by another app,however, the camera is detected
normally.

Unfortunately, I can confirm this issue happens to every version of Wine (up to
the most recent one).

My best guess after gathering information on VRChat blogs about this issue is
that the core issue is likely the VRChat AVProVideo plugin failing to use the
webcam because of some unimplemented API function in the Media Foundation
(mfplat) framework.

I won't deny I'm not super experienced with bug reports, and I'm unsure how to
provide more deep information about the issue. (So I apologize if my comment
isn't super useful.)
