This was discussed in the thread for bug 18120 but the conclusion was that this
is a separate issue. Running the application Qt Dominate (from
dominategame.com), the text in the status window at the bottom left disappears
after a bit with no way to read it or get it back.

I can confirm this issue in wine 1.5.9. See the bottom-left part of the images
from comment 2 and comment 3.

I understand now that the problem happens because the first font present in the
system is selected in wine, in windows it selects the arial font (default
font?).

I can't login too. Same thing on Win7.

As we can test anymore, marking Abandoned.
