[Bug 17904] New: Wine 1.1.18 and PortalGT Mud Client

After an automatic update was done in Ubuntu 8.10 of Wine 1.1.18, the portalGT
mud client would no longer load. Once I removed 1.1.18 and reverted back to
1.1.17 portal is now loading and running again. I got an error message that
stated: (Exception EDBEngineError in module Portal.exe. Invalid file name.)

I had never done a regression test before and was told to submit the bug even
if i did not do a test. Sorry if this has caused any problems.

Provided is a link to the software that the report is based on (Portal GT) for
windows:

The software was previously installed and running until an automatic update
from 
1.1.17 to 1.1.18 was done. When I clicked on the icon to start the program.
like I normally would, I got the below error message:

It appears that wine 1.1.18 does not allow the program Portal GT to launch
without using the command line or going into the portal directory and clicking
on portal.exe. With older versions of wine I was able to launch the program by
using an Icon. Everything else seems to operate as usual with Portal.
