iT seems that when you enable GLSH (Open GL pixel shaders) through either winecfg or the registry that CS:S does not want to display the menu correctly. Once the menu is loaded (this screen is displayed correctly) CS:S draws a black screen but the app still has all its functionality (sounds,console....and the like). This bug is relative to Wine 0.9.32 AFAIK. It can be solved by disabling pixelshading through the same means that enabled it. But that doesn't solve the issue.
I'd like to point out something interesting as well. During my first time playing around with wine and CD:S I was able to get it running with GLSH, which was very noticeable (as everything looked pretty :P). This was done by fluke which consisted of a series on alt-tabbing. Anyways though I'd point that out.
