If I use the "minimize button" the application disappears from screen and task
bar. I can see it with Alt-Tab, but get back to it.
If I reintroduce the patch

It works again. However, I have to click twice on the task bar twice to see the
application. Otherwise the buttons up to the right (minimize, adjust, maximize)
seems to work OK.
When I double click on the task bar the application does not come back to the
previous maximal size, but to a reduced, but still usable, size.

I think this bug has the same origin as bug 22999, 22999 shows the patch that
created this regression and your suggest fix changes 1 line of that original
patch.  So maybe we should merge these 2 ?

This has not been updated for over 900 days.

Is this still an issue in 1.5.31 or higher or is this abandoned ?

Closing bugs fixed in 1.6-rc1.
