I have tried to run Siglos Karaoke Professional, which uses DirectShow, to run with wine. Installation and configuration and so is all ok, but when I try to play a file (avi or cdg), I can't get it work.
The TryOut-Version of the software (which is ok for testing) can be downloaded from http://www.powerkaraoke.com/src/prod_siglos-karaoke-professional.php And for a test an arbitrary avi-file may be taken.

--- Comment #1 from Rosanne DiMesio dimesio@earthlink.net 2012-06-26 07:59:00 CDT --- I can reproduce this with the trial version in 1.5.7.
Note that my glib version is 2.28 and winegstreamer is working on my system for other apps, so this is not the same as bug 30557.

--- Comment #4 from Rosanne DiMesio dimesio@earthlink.net --- Created attachment 54784 --> https://bugs.winehq.org/attachment.cgi?id=54784 log from 1.9.12
The crash is still present in 1.9.12 when using winegstreamer. Disabling winegstreamer avoids the crash; to actually play a video, you also have to install a Windows codec pack. (There are still problems with the playback, but that's a separate issue.)
The attached log is from testing with the daytona_crw.mpg file I've been using to test other winegstreamer issues; I figured using that would make it easier to reproduce, and I know from other tests that winegstreamer can play that file. I did test an avi file in Siglos, and it crashes the same way.

--- Comment #5 from Aaron Franke arnfranke@yahoo.com --- Does this issue still occur on Wine 2.22 or later?
Does the program run if winegstreamer is set to disabled?

--- Comment #6 from joaopa jeremielapuree@yahoo.fr --- Rosanne, does the bug still occur for you with wine-7.0 and a fresh wineprefix?
I tested the file you mentioned: daytona_crw.mpg downloadable at http://fgouget.free.fr/tmp/wine-test-videos/daytona_crw.mpg
and for me, it works. No problem. Can you confirm?
