Please let me know if installer logs etc would be useful.
FWIW, after the installer has unpacked the installation files into 'C:\National Instruments Downloads' (which it manages to do before failing with the 259 error) I can run the individual .msi files using msiexec -i and some of them claim to finish successfully, but the installed package is still not working - when I try to access VISA functions within a LabVIEW program I get an error message meaning that some VISA component couldn't be found :-(
