Bug ID: 52807 Summary: GarminExpress.exe encounters System.EntryPointNotFoundException Product: Wine-staging Version: 7.2 Hardware: x86-64 OS: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: blocker Priority: P2 Component: -unknown Assignee: wine-bugs@winehq.org Reporter: zargulthewizard@outlook.com CC: leslie_alistair@hotmail.com, z.figura12@gmail.com Distribution: ---
Created attachment 72184 --> https://bugs.winehq.org/attachment.cgi?id=72184 output of the command
Not sure what else to say here. I have attached the output log. Given that the error seems to stem from some scope labeled MS.Win32.PresentationCore.UnsafeNativeMethods this is probably a semi-known bug. It appears to be a GUI drawing error.

--- Comment #1 from Austin English austinenglish@gmail.com --- Not a blocker. Can you try with native .net from winetricks?

I will try that. Sorry about inappropriate tagging :-P

--- Comment #3 from Gijs Vermeulen gijsvrm@gmail.com --- You marked this as a wine-staging only bug, does it work with wine-staging? (I wouldn't expect it to)
Does it work with wine-7.6? It contains a newer version of wine-mono than the version you tested with.
Is there a free and legal download this can be reproduced with?

* does it work with upstream wine?

--- Comment #5 from Wilbur Jaywright zargulthewizard@outlook.com --- I don’t really know what the difference between wine-staging and wine is. I have both installed as dependencies for winetricks apparently, and I just ran it with the “wine” command. Garmin Express is a free tool provided by Garmin Ltd. on their website: https://www.garmin.com/en-US/software/express/windows/

--- Comment #6 from Wilbur Jaywright zargulthewizard@outlook.com --- I just realized that I may have winecfg set for Windows 7 (default), which may be the cause of the “graceful failure” of the app. I’ll try again after setting it to Windows 10.

--- Comment #7 from Wilbur Jaywright zargulthewizard@outlook.com --- Doesn’t look like I ever gave mention, but after installing the dependency, the app launched, but then reported that it was incompatible with my system (via its own GUI so not a crash).

There are numerous failures during install, which may actually be the cause.
