Summary: Translucent black squares in GTA San Andreas around fire when FSAA enabled Product: Wine Version: 1.1.29 Platform: PC OS/Version: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: -unknown AssignedTo: wine-bugs@winehq.org ReportedBy: b7.10110111@gmail.com
Created an attachment (id=23674) --> (http://bugs.winehq.org/attachment.cgi?id=23674) Screenshot
To reproduce: Enable FSAA via nvidia settings (or in game menu if it allows to do so). Start the game, wait until it enters interactive mode (if there was a movie), then enter "ROCKETMAN" cheat to easily get a fire image. Fire from jetpack is surrounded by floating translucent black squares. The same squares are visible for some types of weather. If the camera gets under water (when diving, etc.), black screen is shown instead of water image. In all cases the image is to be just slightly distorted (light refraction modelling).

is repeated all the time when i play GTASA.

This is probably a duplicate of bug 18728.
You seem to be right. I tried pbuffer and backbuffer OffscreenRenderingMode.
pbuffer did work in Carl's room, black squares disappeared (but console is still filled with d3d error messages), but when i go outdoors, GTASA crashes.
backbuffer does work normally, but is slower than fbo.
What video card and drivers?
Nvidia Geforce 8800GT, nvidia driver version 185.18.36 (this was also seen with previous versions of the driver and wine).
