Bug #: 32256 Summary: PowerPoint 2010 crashes in slideshow mode (possible regression) Product: Wine Version: 1.5.17 Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: -unknown AssignedTo: wine-bugs@winehq.org ReportedBy: ncdoyle@gmail.com Classification: Unclassified
Created attachment 42566 --> http://bugs.winehq.org/attachment.cgi?id=42566 Wine debug log specific to PowerPoint 2010 crashing
While in slideshow mode, Powerpoint 2010 crashes during transition between some slides. Other users on WineHQ report that this may be a regression in the current Wine version (1.5.17). I was running on a Xubuntu 12.10 platform in a clean WINEPREFIX and with WINEARCH=win32
I have attached what I believe is the relevant part of the debug log. I looked at a case where I experienced a crash during a presentation, where I just loaded the document and then closed it, and when I entered presentation mode and exited without a crash, and this is what is different.

--- Comment #2 from babaei ncdoyle@gmail.com 2012-11-21 18:46:06 CST --- I built both wine-1.5.16 and wine-1.5.17 from the git repository. I confirmed that the problem didn't exist in 1.5.16, but could be consistently reproduced in 1.5.17
I also built the latest version (wine-1.5.17-256-g2b5ddbf) and the problem was no longer present, so it seems that whatever was causing the issue has subsequently been patched.
I've never used git/built Wine from source before, so thank-you for the assistance.
