Bug #: 29837 Summary: 4.1-RC2 SimCity4 Rush Hour crashes in less than five minutes Product: Wine Version: unspecified Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: directx-d3dx9 AssignedTo: wine-bugs@winehq.org ReportedBy: jwinterton@ezlink.ca CC: wine-bugs@winehq.org Classification: Unclassified
Created attachment 38752 --> http://bugs.winehq.org/attachment.cgi?id=38752 Console log
Linux Mint 12 Lisa (GNU/Linux 3.0.0-12-generic x86_64) wine 1.4-rc2 delivered by distro today
After opening a city, doing nearly anything with the graphics from drawing new network to adding fixed lots causes a crash to desktop.
There appears to be no evidence in either the wine console nor the SC4 exception report, both attached.

--- Comment #5 from John Winterton jwinterton@ezlink.ca 2012-02-09 13:48:20 CST --- Downloaded and installed the most recently released SimCity 4 Deluxe (1,1,641) In software mode, identical results. Crashed on second attempt to do anything with the graphic. (was extending an avenue).
Will attach console log, which appears a little different. will attach exception report from program which appears to be as useless as before.

There appear to be some slight variations. The app was run with software rendering this time.

The only real difference here is the game version and the pathname which changes when installing the deluxe version.

Marking invalid per comment 9.
Comment 9 doesn't indicate the bug is invalid, just that it isn't a regression (and thus the regression keyword should be removed).
