I have tried both Manjaro and Linux Mint and the same issue happened.

I can confirm this with the GOG version. This is an mfplat problem, it works
with mf-install.

When using a virtual desktop, I can see the videos being played. They are,
however, being played in 4 little screens at the top of the window.
