--- Comment #1 from Daniel Jackosn daniel@jackson.kz 2008-07-08 19:02:20 --- About the attached log:
It's the lines after
fixme:quartz:MPEGSplitter_process_sample .. Why do I need you? fixme:quartz:AsyncReader_QueryInterface No interface for {56a868b3-0ad4-11ce-b03a-0020af0ba770}! fixme:quartz:Parser_QueryInterface No interface for {56a868b3-0ad4-11ce-b03a-0020af0ba770}!
that might relate to the crash, as these are the last three lines of any startup of the game.

Guid 56a868b3-0ad4-11ce-b03a-0020af0ba770 is IBasicAudio, fwiw.
Sounds probable. I played this particular match with the sound turned off (it happens regardless of this).
As the comment states, everything below these three lines (not inlcuding them) are probably related to the crash, as everything above and including these three are all posted on startup regardless.

I get exactly the same bug, running wine version 1.0.1 on Ubuntu Intrepid Ibex. Disabling sound altogether in the wine configuration does not help either.

--- Comment #5 from Austin English austinenglish@gmail.com 2009-07-08 15:08:54 --- Is this still an issue in current (1.1.25 or newer) wine?

Is this still an issue in current (1.1.25 or newer) wine?
Yes, still reproducible with wine-1.1.26 (from the ubuntu repositories). Not sure why the current review states that "everything works". I'll change it back to a proper rating.

--- Comment #7 from Jaime Rave jaimerave@gmail.com 2009-09-02 00:18:54 --- Looks like Age Of Empires III trial version may be affected by this bug also. The program just exit after the initial screen.
The are the last lines in the console:

--- Comment #10 from Michael Curran curran.michaelp@gmail.com 2010-10-24 15:33:29 CDT --- This problem seems to be resolved at this point. The Bridge ledger might lag for a few seconds, but it works without crashing in version 1.3.5.
