All available menu items (without a new project, about 90% of the menu items are disabled) work fine, they open a dialog, etc...
About the "create new project crash", I don't know what to think, I might be doing something wrong (the app is in japanese, I can't read...). But the bug as described in this thread is definitely not happening.
