In Artweaver 1.07, the default setting for brush outlines leaves "trails" of the brush outline on the canvas window. Note: this can be worked around by going to menu Edit->Preferences->-Painting->Show Brush Outline (checked), and selecting Simple instead of Exact.

There is no additional terminal output as a result of painting with a brush.
See attachment of example brush trails. Note that this sweep of the mouse/brush cursor from right to left did not have Left Mouse Button down, i.e. there should not be any painting of the canvas.
