I just instaled new Xlive from this page:
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=6f966188-1e50-41c3-...
(file gfwlivesetupmin.exe) and it is not working, I think it could be related
to advapi32.dll exactly to function UnregisterTraceGuids, which is not yet
implemented.

GTA 4 need this new version of xlive, the game is not working with older
version.

XLiveRedist01.02.0241.00.msi from microsoft's site seems work for me
you can pass the UnregisterTraceGuids error by building wine with this patch:

btw. well seems XLiveRedist01.02.0241.00.msi is version 1.2, but i'm not
getting any errors with it, Mirek are you sure game needs exactly version 2.0?

Stub implementation of UnregisterTraceGuids.

This stub implementation of function UnregisterTraceGuids should fix this bug.

GTA needs new version, but even with this version I am getting same error WS10,
which should be related to xlive.

"WS10 - XNetStartup failed - Please re-boot your system and/or re-install the
game"

So maybe wine is not able to run xlive properly.

Sorry, i was wrong, this bug should be reopened, because patch is not yet in
wine tree.

Yep, although advapi32 problem is nearly solved, it doesn't solve this
problem..
See, 2.0 version of xLive seems to need .net framework's version three and .net
3.0 cannot be intalled atm, because of the bugs

Patch for stub implemetation of UnregisterTraceGuids is in current CVS tree
(12.12.2008), so I think this bug can be closed. We should create another bug
for GTA 4 problems.
