Bug ID: 46722 Summary: Feature Request: Implement MFC Product: Wine Version: 4.2 Hardware: x86 OS: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: -unknown Assignee: wine-bugs@winehq.org Reporter: tpearson@raptorengineering.com Distribution: ---
Wine should provide a libre MFC implementation for use with winelib.
This is a large project, so a reasonable initial target would be a basic MFC DLL implementation that will allow simple hello world type applications to run. There are several sample applications freely available to test against, and some moderately more complex but still open ones such as FEMM [1].
As it stands, MFC is one of the only remaining barriers to enabling a number of otherwise open applications on non-x86 Linux platforms.

--- Comment #1 from Nikolay Sivov bunglehead@gmail.com --- We have a bug for that, see bug 657. Requests like that are usually resolved as its duplicates.

--- Comment #2 from Timothy Pearson tpearson@raptorengineering.com --- Sorry about that, searching didn't pull up the original report for me. I guess I was using the wrong keywords.
Is anyone working on an MFC project at this point?
