Steps to reproduce:

1) Run IrfanView
2) Open any picture or create it
3) Press F12
4) Click A (Text tool) on the panel
5) Click anywhere on your image
6) Try to enter any non-US text - it will not work

My locale is set to en_US.UTF-8.

My keyboard is:

localectl set-x11-keymap "us,ru" pc105 ""
grp:alt_shift_toggle,grp_led:scroll,terminate:ctrl_alt_bksp

This was false, the locale was actually ru_RU.UTF-8.

With en_US.UTF-8 everything works.

I am on version 4.62 (64-Bit) and can't reproduce this bug.

I can reproduce it under Wine 8.2, IrfanView 4.60 using:

LANG=ru_RU.UTF-8 wine i_view32.exe

When I switch my keyboard layout to Russian, I cannot type anything in F12 ->
Add Text.
