--- Comment #1 from Rosanne DiMesio dimesio@earthlink.net --- Not a blocker, and according to the backtrace you posted your Wine version is 1.6.2, which is over two years old and no longer supported.
Please retest in 1.9.9. Use the WineHQ package. https://wiki.winehq.org/Ubuntu

--- Comment #3 from winetest@luukku.com --- This bug can't be really valid, because there is bug 41236.
You really need to upgrade your wine and retest.

--- Comment #4 from Felix Zielcke fzielcke@z-51.de --- Created attachment 65909 --> https://bugs.winehq.org/attachment.cgi?id=65909 log + crash dump with wine-4.20 (staging)
I just tried out the GOG Version of Darksiders 2 And it crashes the same as for the bug reporter. Except that I have wine 4.20-staging

Created attachment 65909 [details] log + crash dump with wine-4.20 (staging)
I just tried out the GOG Version of Darksiders 2 And it crashes the same as for the bug reporter. Except that I have wine 4.20-staging
Since that's not the same application as the original report (to the point of even being a different architecture), can you please file a new bug report?
In your case the bug is a stub d3dcompiler; you can try dropping in the native component. Though the original report didn't mention it, the module list suggests they were using native d3dcompiler as well.

--- Comment #6 from Felix Zielcke fzielcke@z-51.de --- Oh sorry then I hadn't looked correctly. The new bug is: https://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=48247 Though I was unsure to report with wine or wine-staging. Hadn't yet looked if plain wine also crashes
