The WINE package is 50mb. The uncompressed size is 500mb. Could you make it possible for WINE to extract only the required components for a Windows program to function correctly.

While you could potentially reduce it by not building certain modules that are rarely used as a local exercise or some distro packaged variant, default winehq packages should remain complete.

We can't anticipate what programs a user may need. As Nikolay said, for local cases, this could be optimized, but not universally.

Wine could create a container for that windows program and the script would tell Wine which windows files to extract from the WINE archive.

Maybe WINE could generate a script of the required windows files for a program to function correctly. User's could submit the script to the WINE app database.
Wine could create a container for that windows program and the script would tell Wine which windows files to extract from the WINE archive.
I think PlayonLinux/PlayonMac or Lutris or Proton is something for you to use.
