Make sure to put the URL where your exact version can be downloaded.
The download link given here is not sufficient enough?
Netscape has version 3.01. Anyway, you could use link here to download test stuff.
OOPS the wine version is now fixed.

--- Comment #6 from Jaroslav Fojtik fojtik@penguin.cz 2009-06-17 01:18:04 --- I need too google it. I have extracted netscape.exe with all necessary dlls to my private site. So you could only to extract it and run it.
This piece of code has been tested under windows 2000.
This is a big netscape archive: http://netscape.1command.com/client_archive30x.php
But it would be more simple to unzip my package. When you think that Bug 18961 is duplicate, that problem would be more generic and reproducible with many Win16 APPS.

--- Comment #7 from Austin English austinenglish@gmail.com 2010-06-04 14:05:53 --- Fails to run for me, I get an error saying 'ERROR ABNORMAL TERMINATION'.
The only console output is fixme:ole:CoRegisterMessageFilter16 (0xa8e00c,(nil)),stub! fixme:ole:CoRegisterMessageFilter16 ((nil),(nil)),stub!
though I haven't tested it on windows.
There are old releases of Netscape here: http://browser.netscape.com/releases
but 3.0.1 isn't on the page. Does one of the ones listed there have this problem?

--- Comment #8 from Austin English austinenglish@gmail.com 2012-03-19 14:53:08 CDT --- This is your friendly reminder that there has been no bug activity for 650 days. Is this still an issue in current (1.4 or newer) wine?

--- Comment #9 from Jaroslav Fojtik fojtik@penguin.cz 2012-03-23 15:24:44 CDT --- Something is changed.
Wine does not crash reported way, but Netscape itself crashes with a dialog "Abnormal program termination".

Your netscape setup from comment 0 is broken, if you fix the paths in NETSCAPE.INI the program will start. This bug has been fixed for some time now.
You can also reinstall netscape from: http://sillydog.org/narchive/full123.php http://www.oldversion.com/download-Netscape-3.04.html

--- Comment #11 from Dan Kegel dank@kegel.com 2012-06-19 03:22:50 CDT --- I couldn't find the 16 bit version of netscape 3 at those urls, but I found it elsewhere; I tested 1530eb81cd137a5e69da3a11fbb8ecf1c4f3aa85 g1630p.exe
The self-extracter didn't work, so I had to run 'unzip g1630p.exe', but everything else ran once I did the workaround for http://wiki.winehq.org/PreloaderPageZeroProblem Works fine with 1.4, too.
Marking fixed. Maybe a bug should be filed for the self-extractor.
