Got the new Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War 2. Tried to install it by running $ wine /media/cdrom0/Setup.exe -opengl and $ wine /media/cdrom0/Setup.exe but got the same result. The installation process crashes after clicking on the language selection.

However, Games for Windows LIVE requires .NET 3.0 Framework which currently doesn't work. So it seems there are several roadblocks in the road before this game gets running. Dual boot for the lose :(

As you said it crashes when it comes to getting the Games for Windows - LIVE to run and this is the blocker.

I think GFWL being uninstallable should be broken out in to a new bug as it is a big blocker for several games (DOW2, Batman:AA, Red Faction: Guerilla off the top of my head) and I've seen almost no comment about it anywhere.

Does 'winetricks gfw' help?
I tested winetricks gfw with Bioshock 2. When attempting to launch the game, I get the following message : Games for Windows - Live is not installed, or updated. Please install the latest Games For Windows - Live from http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=128962 . Using the file from the download link does not fix this.
