exporting graphics from Microsoft Visio to .png file, or using the copy-paste
into libreoffice, graphics is flipped upside-down.

Please, retest in a clean prefix in latest wine version (1.3.32). 1.3.3 is very
old.
Also what Visio version are you using?

I am using wine-1.3.32 on opensuse 11.3
the visio is 2007 (12.0.4518,1014) 
when I create a graphic on powerpoint under the same wine setup, the image is
not inverted.
when I create a graphic on a windows computer in the same visio version, print
it to png and then view it in linux, the image is not flipped.

it looks like a bug for visio under wine.
