Summary: Cannot change input keys in Nestopia Product: Wine Version: 1.3.11 Platform: x86 OS/Version: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: -unknown AssignedTo: wine-bugs@winehq.org ReportedBy: turbolad995@hotmail.co.uk
The input in Nestopia cannot be changed when it's run under Wine.
If you click Options > Input... and try changing the keyboard controls, such as changing "K" and "L" to "Z" and "X" for example, it won't work. If using Nestopia in Windows, the controls can be remapped.
Nestopia otherwise runs perfectly in Wine.

--- Comment #2 from David turbolad995@hotmail.co.uk 2011-01-13 12:19:14 CST --- If you change the input of a key, then try changing another, you will get the first duplicated in the list. Very strange. Let's say you wish to change the letters "K" and "L" to "Z" and "X" respectively, as soon as you've changed "K" to become "Z" and then try changing "L" to become "X", you can't do anything because "Z" appears twice!!
Is it a glitch on the GUI when using Wine or something more technical going on?
I hope that provides a good explanation without confusion.

--- Comment #3 from David turbolad995@hotmail.co.uk 2011-01-17 07:18:44 CST --- Note that the latest version of Nestopia is 1.40 and references to Nestopia on the Wine website may be referring to version 1.37 - the previous version.
This bug report is about Nestopia version 1.40 running in Wine.
Do I need to provide any more information?

--- Comment #4 from David turbolad995@hotmail.co.uk 2011-03-16 18:38:32 CDT --- I will keep testing this bug for each new update of Wine, which I receive via the Update Manager in Ubuntu.
So far it's the only bug I've found with Nestopia in Wine, otherwise Wine makes Nestopia run flawlessly as if it were running in Windows.

--- Comment #6 from Wylda wylda@volny.cz --- Still present in wine-1.7.28.
Changing input letter works only for first time. Double clik on letter "K" runs 5sec count-down timer waiting for some other key for example "X". Then clicking on other letter "L" does not run 5sec timer, but immediately replaces letter "L" by letter "X" again.
On WinXP the 5sec count-down timer is run on every changing letter.
