Debuging output from wine

System shock 2 crashes out when you try to open it. It doesn't show any signs
of opening.

you are using native dinput?

Don't do that (at least don't report bugs with dinput set to native), set it to
builtin again, and retry please

Sorry, think i saw that wrong. Could you provide a crash with debug info
compiled in?

Could you give me a brief description of how to do this? Is there an option

Try the patch referred to in that bug, and see if it fixes things

I'm sorry I'm new to this. I couldn't find what patch it was they had posted to
fix it. Is it in the new CVS/GIT? Or do I need to find and patch my version
myself?

Yep this appears to be a duplicate. I couldn't find the patch you mentioned but
if I created the registry key they mentioned
HKey_Current_User/Software/Wine/DirectInput (only DirectInput had to be
created) then it loads.
