one member of the German ubuntuusers.de-Forum asked about the state of this game and I gave the demo version a try which unfortunately crashed.
The demo version can be obtained from this URL. The link in the AppDB is no longer valid.

err:winediag:wined3d_texture_init The application tried to create a DXTn texture, but the driver does not support them. wine: Unhandled page fault on read access to 0x00000028 at address 0x2c84d4a (thread 0009), starting debugger...

Is it due to my graphics drivers again?
Most likely. Note you should be able to fix that by either installing libtxc-dxtn or enabling "Enable S3TC texture compression even if software support is not available" in driconf.

--- Comment #3 from super_man@post.com --- I cant even start the game, if I use winetricks all builtins.

I was unable to get similar backtrace than last time. With dx9 installed I was able to get into game (installed during game install). And I didnt force all dlls builtins at that time yet.

--- Comment #4 from Maik Wagner maiktapwagner@aol.com --- Revisiting this bug report on openSUSE "Tumbleweed" with 3.13
/sbin/lspci | grep VGA 01:00.0 VGA compatible controller: NVIDIA Corporation GT218 [GeForce 210] (rev a2)
Game runs a bit slow as I only have the Nouveau driver installed but I can all start a singleplayer game, create a server and join the multiplayer game on the server.
