Try to use the latest GIT/CVS version. Most likely the bug is fixed in there as
I have submitted various fixes in this area. (One of my patches caused a few
regressions in 0.9.45)

Yes, that looks like a pbo regression that has been fixed already. I've played
the game with yesterday's git code for hours, it was rock stable.
