Installation program crashes so badly that even killing processes in other
session (ctrl-alt-F6) does not bring original session back to life. After each
trial, needed to reboot computer.

Attach as a text file complete terminal output. If your system crashes, that
most likely indicates problem with hardware and/or hardware drivers, assuming
you running Wine as a regual user.
