I guess, it would work. First you need to make sureyou have a 32bit wine prefix (https://wiki.winehq.org/ FAQ#How_do_I_create_a_32_bit_wineprefix_on_a_64_bit_system.3F) which most of you probably have. I got the windows installation to run in win98 mode. After it is installed wine tries to run the programm using dosbox. Most likely it would work, but currently in my case it's terminating since it wants a CD Drive.... I will try a bit more, whether I can motivate dosbox to fake a CD drive....
OK, I read my old desciption of what I should be doing, and I can confirm it works. Closing this now.
