winword.exe from Office 97 shows the splash screen, uses 100% processor and does not get out of the splash screen. It has to be killed with a special tool like gnome-system-monitor.

I see on my PC that I need to reinstall the root folder frequently (the home is separated) because of the tests I do. Anyway as user the terminal can not start graphical applications (or can it ?)
