--- Comment #5 from Austin English austinenglish@gmail.com 2008-06-12 13:22:15 --- Is this still an issue in current (1.0-rc4 or newer) wine?

--- Comment #6 from Jonathan echidnaman@gmail.com 2008-06-12 15:30:27 --- The game now is all black. The game starts up, but you can't see anything, so the bug cannot be tested at the moment. I'll file another bug with the details in a moment and set it to blocking this bug.

--- Comment #12 from Sergey Isakov isakov-sl@bk.ru --- Created attachment 53789 --> https://bugs.winehq.org/attachment.cgi?id=53789 wine-1.9.4, objects missing at all
The game will work until this scene if - insert real or virtual CD with the game; - resolve bug 22039, or install native d3drm.dll
This screen obtained with pure wine-1.9.4-188-g5953927 from git
(any click here causes a crash because of bug 10729)

--- Comment #13 from Sergey Isakov isakov-sl@bk.ru --- Created attachment 53790 --> https://bugs.winehq.org/attachment.cgi?id=53790 There are some textureless models
It's a pity I don't know what is the patch to make the models partial visible. But it happens to illustrate the bug.

Seems to be crashing on d3drm according to the old backtrace attached. If possible, could you attach a +d3drm +ddraw trace with 1.9.4?

As I expected, there are many frame and viewport stubs that are her to be implemented. I'm planning to implement these over the summer along with other rendering functionalities which will depend on what the traces reveal as more implementations are added.
nsivov had already implemented SetAppData. Not that it'll make much of a difference in this case though..

With a built-in d3drm the game crashes.

--- Comment #22 from joaopa jeremielapuree@yahoo.fr --- Textureless character bug is still there in current wine(3.20)

--- Comment #23 from Aaryaman Vasishta jem456.vasishta@gmail.com --- Sorry I haven't taken a look at this for quite a while. It'd be great if there was a demo available to test this myself..
It'd also be nice to have fresh +d3drm +ddraw logs just in case. The previous ones are kinda old.

What |Removed |Added ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- CC| |gofmanp@gmail.com
--- Comment #26 from Paul Gofman gofmanp@gmail.com --- I've tested the game (with d3drm native override). I can't reproduce the bug with missing colours. I see coloured objects which are white in the screenshot attached earlier. What makes it weird, I see the potential reason why it could be not working in earlier Wine versions: the game is using lighting with execute buffers, it was implemented in June 2019. And I could reproduce exactly the picture as in screenshot with bug when I forcefully disable that lighting in ddraw code.
Could you please recheck? If you still see the issue, could you please attach WINEDEBUG=+ddraw,+d3d log grabbed from start?
