Can open an empty verion of Quicken, will translate an older data file to new version. Crashes on opening data file

As soon as it trys to load a quicken file the program shuts down and disappears. Wine version is 1.01 (Just downloaded) are there newer stable versions??. I am using 9.04 because that works with touchscreen and 1024x600 resolution, could not get 9.10 to work with this resolution and VESA drivers were very poor, also touchscreen did not work. The only other setup that worked from 8.04lts thru 10.04 lts was 10.04lts but without touchscreen. I guess this doesn't bode well for a solution but I had to try.
