When starting Kindle.exe to read my e-books, wine crashes with the attached backtrace. I tried with SUSE 13.1 and SUSE 12.2, in both cases it crashes.

If it is only "big" books, how "big" does a book have to be to trigger this problem? Is there a free one that demonstrates the problem that I can download to test? I'm not seeing any crashes on my system, but I also don't have any books that I would consider especially "big."
As for the fonts, if this really only happens with "big" books, that's unlikely to be the problem, but you can test it by installing winetricks corefonts. You can also try installing Kindle for PC to a 32 bit wineprefix.

I can't reproduce this too. Did you really followed the common advice from bug 29045, installing missing fonts?
Does executing 'winetricks allfonts' in WINEPREFIX prevent the crash?
