Log after running autocad2008lockedsp1.exe

My Linux is Fedora 10 x86. My problem is that i can't install Service Pack 1
for AutoCAD 2008.

1. delete  "~/.wine"
2. execute "wine WINEPREFIX"
3. install using winetricks gecko, gdiplus, corefonts, dotnet20, msxml3,
vcrun2003
4. install AutoCAD 2008
5. run autocad2008lockedsp1.exe from www.autodesk.com
6. get an fatal error

Situation has changed with Wine 1.1.18
Service Pack doesn't show fatal error any more. The installation goes to the
end and then Info Message is displayed

"Installation Successful"
"The service pack was successfully installed and AutoCAD 2008 - English has
been updated"

The problem is that AutoCAD 2008 won't start after that. During service pack
install there were following errors in terminal:

0097:err:msidb:msi_table_load_transform insert row failed

0097:err:msi:ITERATE_DuplicateFiles Failed to copy file L"C:\Program
Files\AutoCAD 2008\UserDataCache\Support\infocenter.xml" ->
L"C:\users\WINEUSER\Local Settings\Application Data\Autodesk\AutoCAD
2008\R17.1\enu\Support\", last error 80

You can't confirm your own bugs.
The installer bug is fixed. Open new bug for SP1 not working.

I reopen this bug because the same problem still occurs.

The installation from post above was successful because I removed earlier all
what was in "~/.AutoCAD2008/drive_c/windows/Installer/" directory.

If i leave "Installer" directory untouched then the same fatal error is
displayed.

WINEDEBUG=+msi Wine 1.1.18 with Installer untouched

This is the output from failed install when i didn't deleted all from
"Installer" directory.
The difference to 2009-01-17 05:47 log is:

Terminal output on Wine-1.2-rc2 when installing patch

In Wine 1.2-rc2 the patch reports as being successfully installed, but after
that following directory is emptied
~/.wine/drive_c/windows/winsxs

That behaviour disables AutoCAD from starting. Making backup of winsxs before
patching and restoring that backup after patching allows me to run AutoCAD 2008
with SP1 installed.

an implementation of the delta compression API, see:

That's what bug 12501 is about: mspatcha.dll implementation.
Maybe this bug (16972) should be about implementing Wine msi PatchFiles action
when Wine provides mspatcha.dll
