Ouput from wine when it failed to connect (no obvious error nessages)

Counter Strike Source gives an error "Disconnect: client timed out" when
connecting to VAC secured servers, but not non-secured servers.

I do not believe this is the normal network issue with Counter Strike Source as
it still happens when I disable my firewall (this has been confirmed by a port
scan). I have also tried setting cl_timeout to a very large number and it would
load as far as the choose team screen which would have no options then
time-out.

See the fixmes about ntlm_auth?  Try installing a newer version of that and
trying again.  Not a wine bug, it's a configuration issue.

Yes it was.

I was launching the game with:

wine hl2.exe -game cstrike -steam

and it wants you to launch it with:

wine Steam.exe -applaunch 240

The error was one of the most useless ever "Disconnect: client timed out".
