Example of garbled working area

Installing SketchUp 8 works fine but after launch the complete working area is
garbled (see attachment). It will show distorted images of previously ran Wine
applications. Any attempt to draw something will not show up in any way.

Wine 1.3.23
Ubuntu 11.04 (x86)
ATI HD6950 (proprietary driver 11.5)

Bug #27395 also mentions the same issue but the reporter filed a bug for a
subsequent issue.

SketchUp 8.0.4811
Wine 1.3.19
Gentoo
Nvidia drivers 275.09.07

To me it seems the garbeling just is a consequence of the missing expose event.

I'm having the same problem with :

Software:
SketchUp 8.0.4811
Wine 1.3.27
Ubuntu 11.04 x64
AMD drivers Catalyst 11.8

Hardware:
AMD Phenom II x4 @ 3.6GHz
AMD Ati radeon hd 4250

with emulated desktop just a part of the workspace is visible.

3D works with emulated desktop IF using dual screen and positioned on right
screen. Only partial as more of the emulated window is on the left screen.

I'm attaching some numbers ( openGL viewport vs emulator window position
measurements ).
End results:

with a 1200 emulator window, you get opengl viewport size x for emulator window
off the right side of (left) screen by r.   x = r+167

for 1024 the equation is: x = r + 342

for emulator window size 'e':
x = r + (1366-e)

AMD drivers Catalyst 11.8

ATI Radeon HD 2400 XT
Acer Extensa 5620G

If no virtual desktop is selected, working area is garbled completelly,
if virtual desktop is selected working area is garbled only partially.

Is the one event behind problem now also fixed? So that a click really is a
click and not a selection after another click?

Could anyone of the wine team comment on want was the actual bug? And what
commit fixed it?

I am having the same problem still. I am not sure if it is a wine issue, a
graphics driver issue, a combination, or just me :-) Glxgears works for me.

I tried wine 1.4, but that did not help. Trying an old version of the graphics
drivers is a bit cumbersome (have to downgrade Xorg), so I wanted to see if
someone else is having the same problem first.
