Dan, can you remember, which CUPS-version was used, when you reported the Bug?
Is this still an Issue with current Wine / current CUPS ?

Denied by CUPS, but Michael Sweet suggest a different way to get the
Printer-List.

Might be a usable Way, but it's to late for Wine-1.0
