Summary: winhelp: Window title is not set correctly for some (older) help files Product: Wine Version: 1.1.0 Platform: PC OS/Version: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: trivial Priority: P2 Component: programs AssignedTo: wine-bugs@winehq.org ReportedBy: markk@clara.co.uk
With some help files, the Wine winhelp title bar always says "WINE Help", but Windows 95 WINHPL32.EXE shows instead the help file title and filename, e.g. "GNU Chess Help - chess.hlp".
This probably mainly or only applies to older help files.
To demonstrate, download chess.hlp from http://bugs.winehq.org/attachment.cgi?id=14571 and load into Wine winhelp and Windows 95 WINHLP32.EXE

--- Comment #6 from markk@clara.co.uk 2010-05-29 15:59:42 --- While this has been kind-of fixed, the Wine behaviour differs from Windows winhlp32.
Using chess.hlp as an example: Windows winhlp32 window title is "GNU Chess Help - chess.hlp" Wine winhlp32 window title is "GNU Chess Wine Help - Z:\home\mark\wine_temp\chess"
In other words: Windows winhlp32 shows the help filename, but Wine winhlp32 shows the full path and base of the filename (minus .hlp extension). I think it would be better to match the Windows behaviour (and lose the "Wine" from the window title).

--- Comment #7 from markk@clara.co.uk 2010-07-23 14:47:07 --- This bug does not seem to have been completely fixed. At least some help files still show this problem (testing with Wine 1.2).
See the attached 6pack.hlp file. In Windows winhlp32, the window title is "Six Pack Help". In Wine winhlp32, the window title is "Wine Help".
