Summary: Miranda IM and TabSRMM Product: Wine Version: 1.3.10 Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: -unknown AssignedTo: wine-bugs@winehq.org ReportedBy: register@ciengi.com
TabSRMM causes Miranda IM to crash under Wine. This used to work on an older version of both Wine and Miranda (have not used Miranda and Wine for over a year).

--- Comment #3 from Nikolay Sivov bunglehead@gmail.com 2010-12-26 18:27:25 CST --- Ok, now install debug symbols package for wine and attach another log with debug information. Also specify some steps to reproduce (what needs to be done after installation to crash it).

--- Comment #4 from GrantD register@ciengi.com 2010-12-26 19:52:46 CST --- Well, I am running Arch Linux, how do I do the debug symbols? Also, to replicate it, install msvcp80.dll and msvcp60.dll into the system32 (if running 32 bit wine) or syswow64 (if running wow64 wine) and start up Miranda with TabSRMM set as the default and open a chat window.

--- Comment #5 from Nikolay Sivov bunglehead@gmail.com 2010-12-26 23:59:02 CST --- Not sure about Arch, usually debug symbols are provided as additional package. A simple way to get debug info is to build wine from sources.

--- Comment #6 from GrantD register@ciengi.com 2010-12-28 14:35:09 CST --- I am still kinda of getting the hang in Linux, anyone want to help me out with this? A friend of mine helped me set up Arch the first time and I have basically just replicated the steps each time. Now if this was Windows and Visual Studios, I wouldn't have a proplem, lol.

Same problem exists. Would be glad if it's been fixed, cause miranda seems to be the best IM for me ;)

--- Comment #12 from Nikolay Sivov bunglehead@gmail.com 2012-10-02 10:45:40 CDT --- Does it help to use debug builds of Miranda? They provide separate symbols packages, not sure if it's usable in wine though. Could you attach a +relay,+tid please?

--- Comment #14 from Austin English austinenglish@gmail.com --- This is your friendly reminder that there has been no bug activity for 2 years. Is this still an issue in current (1.7.28 or newer) wine? If so, please attach the terminal output in 1.7.28 (see http://wiki.winehq.org/FAQ#get_log).

--- Comment #15 from Wylda wylda@volny.cz --- As the TabSRMM is now included in contrib, i downloaded: * miranda-im-v0.10.24-unicode.7z * miranda-im-v0.10.24-unicode-contrib.7z
Put the contrib's plugins & icons into Miranda-IM. I checked TabSRMM.dll in Options -> Plugins. Restarted Miranda and no problems found. Marking fixed.
Feel free to re-open if the problem persist for you. But then please describe exact steps, how to reproduce the problem.
